He went on to say that Bachelor in Paradise season 8 was different because he "filmed an entire season with a bunch of guys that I didn’t know" and therefore went to Paradise "with eyes unclouded and just had no bias at all." Wells said that he would ask the men about their time on The Bachelorette and "they all sugarcoated if they were the bad guy or the villain." Wells did not reveal any of the cast members, but he did say that there would be both redemption stories and falls from grace for some of the contestants on Bachelor in Paradise season 8. Wells explained that because Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey's season of The Bachelorette had not yet started airing when Bachelor in Paradise began filming, he did not know the men from that season who showed up on the beach. In an interview on The Viall Files podcast, hosted by Bachelor Nation veteran Nick Viall, Wells revealed some more of the changes that fans will see in Bachelor in Paradise season 8, which has completed filming.

The show will take over the Monday time slot of Dancing With the Stars, and will also air on Tuesday nights. Bachelor in Paradise season 8 has already announced some changes, including its move from the ABC summer television line-up to the fall.
